Vote for W.TEC's "MakeHER Space" to Win the 2022 WSIS Prizes!
We are pleased to announce the nomination of W.TEC’s MakeHER Space project once again, for the coveted 2022 #WSISPrizes in the Capacity Building Category, the 4th category for the awards. Our MakeHER Space Project for the 3rd consecutive year made the shortlist of 360 nominees out of 1,000 projects submitted from all over the world. To win the award you must emerge with the highest votes in your category.
To vote for W.TEC, please follow the following steps in 5minutes.

2.) Click on the Voting form button.
3.) Fill out the form to create a WSIS account.
4.) Check your email to confirm your account registration and follow
the link to complete voting.
5.) Click on the number 4 button to get to Category 4 nominees.
Scroll down to the 10th nominee – MakeHER Space and click it.
The deadline for casting of votes is 31st March 2022. We came close to winning last year, so lets make it count in 2022.
The MakeHer Spaces project is a collaborative initiative of W.TEC with Google to train selected girls and women to create technology and engineering-based solutions that solve problems in their communities, provide information about career options and exposes them to women working successfully in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).
The programme caters for young women and grils who are 10 to 17 years (in school) and 18 to 25 years (out of school), from lower-income households living in the communities where women have much less opportunities. Thanks to the easing of the pandemic in the country, more in person sessions and some virtual sessions. Till date from May 2020, the programme has trained over 887 ladies and girls in numerous ICT skills.via several in-person and virtual cohorts across the country.
