Support W.TEC's 2021 Giving Tuesday Campaign - November 30th
As the season of giving approaches we are are glad to announce that we will be participating in the global day of giving – Giving Tuesday to accept donations for our 2022 STEM programmes for girls.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eight years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity, and equity around the globe.
Thus Donating to a cause, close to your heart is a lovely way to start getting into the holiday giving-back spirit, after going through a unique year we believe will be a big contribution towards healing our land.
In the past, kind donations to W.TEC immensely impacted her reach to empowering over 31,000 women and girls. In 2021 W.TEC plan to make a big come back to empowering women and girls to attain greater heights in the new virtual and digital era unfolding.
Thus, on November 30th we look forward to your kind donations to support our STEM programmes for girls:
- W.TEC Academy – Our after school STEM and computer programme for girls to be held in 2 states across Nigeria.
- She Creates Camp: A summer STEM camp for girls from across Nigeria.
These and other programmes will be made possible with your kind donations which will gift many more girls who usually don’t have the opportunity to learn skills that will make a big difference in their lives towards their socio-economic growth and development of their communities.
